JACK CHAPMAN

DIRECTOR

Jack Chapman is an award-winning documentary director working internationally across film. Based in Bristol, his work is rooted in character-led storytelling, with experience spanning feature documentary, narrative projects, and commercial work.

Jack’s debut film was acquired by Sky Sport & Three (New Zealand). His ode to the pandemic 'Lost Time' won several awards, and his first feature film ‘Honest Without Fear’ was awarded six figures in funding from Hessen Film Commission (Germany) in what was the largest documentary award the fund had made to date.

Jack has been commissioned to develop and direct ‘Complacent’ (Canada), a character-driven limited documentary TV series, with shooting starting in 2026.

Alongside his long-form work, Jack brings a documentary approach into shorter form and commercial projects, creating films that are grounded, considered, and human. His work is collaborative in nature, balancing creative ambition with practical delivery across budgets, teams, and platforms.
