Roberto Vivancos is a Spanish British cinematographer & photographer whose work is defined by bold visual authorship, dramatic lighting, and a strong narrative sensibility. Working internationally across drama, music, documentary, commercial and portraiture, he has built a body of work that reflects both technical mastery and an instinct for emotionally resonant storytelling.
Roberto has worked with some of the most celebrated performers in contemporary British stage and screen. His moving portraiture series includes work with Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Derek Jacobi, Sir David Suchet, Charles Dance, Juliette Stevenson and Frances Barber. These projects have strengthened his reputation for crafting intimate and visually compelling character led imagery.
Roberto has collaborated with leading production companies, including Stageblock, Storyhouse, Invada Records and Lloyd's Register Foundation. His recent cinematography credits include Jo: The Little Women at Abbey Road Studios for 4 Times Entertainment USA, The Shakespeare Portraits featuring Dame Judi Dench, and Shake Your Hair for Invada Records, which has earned multiple festival awards.
He has also lensed the music film Mixtape Days for Invada Records, and two seasons of Innovation in Miniature for Lloyd's Register Foundation. His portraiture and commercial photography work spans high profile clients such as Admiral, Funding Circle, BetMGM, and Velodrom.
His work has received international recognition. Shake Your Hair won Best Music Video at the RS Festival in Bristol, the London Independent Film Festival, and the Florence International Film Festival. His debut micro short The Odd received multiple awards, including Avant Garde Filmmaker at the Halloween Horror Showcase, Best Short Film at the London City Awards, and Best Micro Short Film at the Swindon Independent Film Festival.
Roberto’s imagery has been published in Vogue, Rockerilla Magazine, Financial Times, Playbill and other international outlets.
